New Year’s. Don’t be bored. Or Lonely. Or Over it.

December 10th, 2007 · 1 Comment

So there’s obviously going to be tons of options for New Year’s Eve. If you’re already booked for Flash and Matty’s W Hotel takeover then wooo. Ballah. I know we’re planning a little craziness with The Zone at the crazycrazyfun mothership of crazy as well. Don’t even get me started on how rad it would be to see both Cyndi Lauper AND the new rum fire lounge place opening where Esprit Lounge was at the Sheraton Waikiki.

BUT! THIS option is for those of you that just aren’t feeling it. You know who you are. I’m one of you pretty often too, you know. You just want something friggin different. The possibility of a room full of new faces, new ideas, new stories. Whatever. This is a new concept here in Honolulu but not in the world. I have a feeling it will blow up in corporate-land in ’08. Maybe it’s worth checking out– I know when I lived in Europe, the best trips I ever took were the ones where I went alone and just met people along the way….

Beginner Level Game, On Foot

$100 per player

The Second Annual Quest for Father Time is an adventure race and treasure hunt in downtown Honolulu and Chinatown. The Quest is like a combination of the Amazing Race, Da Vinci Code and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Our staff personally greets each group at the start of the race, explains the rules of the game and gives each team a hand made treasure map, clues on parchment scrolls and a bag of cool gadgets (like black lights to see clues written in invisible ink). Teams can travel in any direction they like around the city. Actors are also planted along the course, to interact with and help the teams. All the answers and puzzle pieces along the course will lead them to a secret end location, where prizes are awarded to the top three teams. The game ends with an open bar, pupus and one fantastic New Years party!
