Director, Nathaniel Kahn
USA, 2003, 116 mins. This film is being presented in conjunction with the exhibition, “Hawiian Modern: The Architecture of Vladimir Ossipoff”.

Louis I. Kahn, one of America’s most revered architects, died in a bathroom in New York’s Penn Station in 1974. He left behind a series of eminently modern buildings that emulate the monumentality and serenity of the ancient ruins that inspired him. This powerful and moving film, directed by his illegitimate son Nathan, traces Louis I Kahn’s rise to fame, his secrets, and his eventual decline.
