| oh my GOD this one below is from one of the *best* nights of my life... the u2 concert in sarajevo... a buddy snapped this of me (yes, even CHRISTA got to wear the camos) right before they came on... i was so pumped! i have loved u2 since i was a kid... the concert was unbelievable--- not only did all 4,000 peacekeepers have to go in uniform, but we wern't allowed to carry our weapons either (so needless to say we were a little nervous)... and we ALL went-- even the people that didn't even know who u2 was, because it was something to break the monotony... but holy crap! when those lights went down! i didn't think twice about being all grouped together with no weapons... and what a show-- bono was upset because he wanted to do a brilliant performance but he lost his voice... he was so emotional and made me cry a thousand times...thanking the people of sarajevo over and over again for their generosity and sprirt.. god... then they did "one".. it was a magical night that i will never be able to explain so i will just have to stop trying... |
